Processing multiple forms on one page with PHP

I'm having issues with processing multiple forms that are contained in the same page. One of the forms is contained in a modal. This form works exactly how I want to and is placed in the code first.

The second form which is on the main contact page and placed underneath the modal is what is giving me problems. When I click the "submit" button nothing is happening. Once I comment out the modal, the other form works as expected.

I'm using a open source php document from www.tectite.com because I am not very skilled with php yet. The referenced php documents are the exact same thing. The document is called using hidden fields.
