Footnotes - multiple occurrences - would like to return to same footnote within text

I would like to know if there is a way to have many occurrences of a footnote and then be able to return to the same location from the footnote list.

i.e. in the first paragraph there is a footnote 1 - and then in the next paragraph there is a second number 1 -

I would like to be able to link back to the same place.
