Publish Permission for Facebook

Hi Guys i'm trying to publish Canvas Images directly to facebook. With a URL back to my site. I've managed to get publisihing to work using this github gem http://ift.tt/1zhqStq but I've found that my app needs permission for public use.

As it is the site is currently on dev mode, any suggestions on how to go about this? Does the webpage need to be in production?

http://ift.tt/1nNcoRm i've been following this but since i haven't done anything of this sort before i am a bit stuck. ANY insight would be greatly appreciated
